Patrick Crayton, the seventh round selection in the Cowboys 2004 draft (first rounder: None; Julius Jones was the top pick. Out of ALL THE PICKS, Crayton, who was selected in the 7th round, is the only one still with the team- Jerry Jones, Terrible Talent Evaluator), played his college ball at Northwestern Oklahoma State. What's in Northwestern Oklahoma? The proud denizens in Alva, Oklahoma Territory, have their own website! It has a picture of a water tower. And, apparently, this guy is the mayor.
Now, in defense of Alva, Oklahoma (Pop. 5,288), Patrick Crayton is a pretty good ex-citizen to have (certainly better than being the home of the man who tried to kill Ronald Reagan). He set all sort of records for the Rangers of Northwestern Oklahoma State, and he even played quarterback his senior year (after being a wide receiver for his first three seasons), passing for 22 touchdowns and only getting picked 8 times.
Oh, wait, you haven't even heard of the Rangers? Well, they are an NAIA team, so that is probably why. Basically, its the single A ball of college sports.
When he got to the Cowboys, he moved up the depth chart due to injuries, and had been the number two for two years now. He single-handedly ended the career of Quincy Morgan, and is married to a woman named Najiyyah (Pronounced "Becky").
That is all you will ever need to know about Patrick Crayton. From his Dallas Cowboys Bio:
Could not have said it better myself. CHILD.
